Class Opioid poisons (including Opioid, morphine, codeine) enter the body and are metabolized primarily by the liver and are rapidly de acylated into 6-, which is further reduced to morphine. Therefore, the presence of morphine or its metabolites in urine and exceeding the threshold indicates that Opioid prohibited substances have been used.
